Currently undergoing a complete revamp, the CITY CLUB OF GREENVILLE is a tribute to the past, a celebration of the future, and a haven where the warmth of Southern hospitality meets the vigour of modern ambition.

Tucked into the foothills of the Appalachians, the city of Greenville in South Carolina – roughly equidistant from Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotteville, North Carolina – boasts one of the most photogenic city centres in the Deep South. The city’s natural charms are amplified by the Reedy River, which winds its way through the city before cascading dramatically down the waterfalls in Falls Park. This constantly growing city has received many accolades, including a position on the list of the best Places to Live in the USA. As an important regional capital and a centre of industry in the Deep South, Greenville has a vibrant business community – and a club that is edicated to serving the needs of this community.

Founded nearly 40 years ago as the Commerce Club with the aim of providing a meeting place for the Greenville leadership community, the club was recently renamed the City Club of Greenville and an extensive refurbishment programme began. The new, ultra-sleek style uses lots of rich colours and natural, tactile materials to create an engaging atmosphere and a refined lifestyle space that is relevant not only for business, but also for social purposes. The new name encourages members to think of the Club as something more than just a centre for commerce; instead, it tells the community exactly what it is – a place to meet, greet and gather in the evergrowing city of Greenville.

The City Club is only a short drive from Greenville airport whithin easy walking distance of the lovely Falls Park on the Reedy. Located on the 17th floor of an elegant downtown building and with a good choice of hotels in the immediate vicinity, the Club is conveniently situated for business and social meetings in Greenville. As you step off the elevators to a corridor with black cherry wood finnishes, brass accents and blue river water tile, you’re greeted by the Club’s concierge who is there to assist with dining reservations and provide information about events and business suites.

Branching off from the lobby is a new 18-seat bar with panoramic views, the ideal place to wrap up the day or start the evening with a cocktail. The modern, sleek interiors of the Emerald Lounge create a professional environment where the Club’s diverse membership of executives, creatives, entrepreneurs, young professionals, military, civic and other community leaders comes to engage. This all-day space is ideal for entertaining clients. Once it’s time to eat, the Green Room is the perfect backdrop for Greenville’s highest elevation dining experience. The new dining space is tucked away in an intimate corner to the right of the new central bar area. Ideal for couples and smaller groups, dining in the Green Room will be a high-end experience of world-class cooking and personalized service, perfect for client entertaining with beautiful panoramic views across the city.

The redesigned Club has a choice of business suites and ample space for working; its aim is to be an extension of its members’ offices with a choice of spots to spend the day working remotely, plus private meeting rooms in several sizes, all equipped with the latest technology. Corporate or social functions are taken to the next level at the City Club of Greenville, with events professionals on hand to assist with planning the perfect boardroom meeting, conference or client get-together. From choosing the appropriate space and seating arrangements to designing the perfect food and beverage menus, the Club’s goal is to help members and visitors from reciprocal clubs host a successful event.

The Club boasts a wide range of member and guest events, from wine dinners to golf outings and monthlyreceptions. For business minds, there are monthly networking events.

The Club’s dress code is casual smart; shirts with collars are required and sportswear is not permitted.

The City Club of Greenville is managed by BNG Hospitality, whose portfolio currently includes five city clubs across the United States. All five clubs have reciprocal agreements with Business Club Hamburg and welcome club members to enjoy their amenities
